1953 Henry J Corsair 12/12/2012      Just purchased last month, a 1953 Henry J which I plan to take apart completely to the frame and start building a street gasser. Plans are to use a built 383 sbc with a 350 turbo and a Ford 9" diff. Flip front end, straight axle and sitting way up high! Going For the old school look with drivability. I will send more pictures as I progress.  It seems to be a fairly solid car to start with. I hope to get started on the car after the holidays. I am making room in my garage. I also have a 27 Ford Roadster and a 5.0 Mazda Miata I built to drive everyday.     I am looking forward to this project as I have always wanted a Henry J since I saw one in a wrecking yard over 40 years ago and my dad talked me out of it because it was rough and I was so young and the work involved. I can still see that primer black Henry sitting there. Well now I have one and have started to gather parts already.     If anyone needs the running gear on this car it will be forsale.
