Ends Aug-07-05 09:16:24 PDT Item location: Byron, California United States Description Item Specifics - Automobiles Other Makes 1951 Henry-J Kaiser...So Ugly..It's Cute !!! Vehicle Description You are bidding on a stock 1951 Henry-J (only made by Kaiser 4 years, 1951 to 1954) also sold by Sears as Allstate's. This Henry somehow escaped being turned into a drag car, as most were, in the 60's / 70's.It was restored about 12 years ago, still looks great & is probably one of the nicest on the west coast. It's a 2 door with Supersonic 6 cyl. engine, 3 speed trans & no overdrive. But it does have "Option group #8" when new, included; chrome horn ring, front & rear "bumperetts", front & rear ashtrays, twin "seashell" horns, rear vent windows (very rare, only a few Henry's made with them), Motorola radio, and heater / defroster. EVERYTHING on this Henry works including speedometer, all gauges / radio / heater, etc. Runs & drives great. Mileage shows as 43,400& is probably actual. The car was repainted Geo white with blue pearl when restored, seat belts (front & rear) were added as were turn-signals for safety reasons. interior was redone in gray tweed, not original but very "period fitting". Looks great, Has 15" radial tires on Ford wheels but comes with the original wheels and full stainless hubcaps that were numbered for each vehicle by Kaiser when new. Again this is not a Ford, Chevrolet, Plymouth, Willys or Dodge, It's a Henry-J, made by Kaiser motor Co. from 1951 to 1954 only. Never been hot rodded or in a accident, Outstanding looking !! A great little hard to find Henry-J, at a very fair price !!! Has a clear California title with correct VIN # on drivers door post. I've got way too many toys and need to give it a good home. This auto is for sale locally. I reserve the right to end the listing early if the vehicle is no longer available. |
