Early Model-Great Condition-Complete
Vehicle Description

This early '51 Henry J is in great Condition and driven often. The reason that I say "Early" is that this car was one of the first henry J's made.It has two sets of functioning tailights instead of one.At the time this one was made Kaiser-Frazer was in a quandry about how and where the final locality of their tailights were to be mounted. They settled on the rear fender fins but on mine they still weren't sure.So...it has two sets of tailights .You can view this rarity in the photo. It also has the complete Continental Tire Kit and that is in excellent shape. It has self-cancelling turn signals. All of the electrical is in good working order. It has the 161 c.u.in.F-head six.It has 90bhp.Three Speed on the column. The Car is Completely Original........no modifications whatsoever. It was restored about 5 years ago to my knowledge.I purchased the car from a collector friend of mine that is a long-time member of the Kaiser-Frazer Club.I am a member as well.I have a few extra parts that goes with the Car.I drive the car about once a week .......just to keep the juices flowing as it is the Fall-Winter season. It has always been garaged.Their is no Body Rust at all and the Body is in excellent shape. The color is called Coral but is closer to Brown....depending in the light.....It almost looks like a purple-maroon tinge when the sun hits it just right.I have put in a new Rear Main Seal about two years ago and a new Master cylinder about a year ago.It turns alot of heads as I tool down the streets.People are always admiring it and the guys of the WW II Generation just crack that smile when they see it.Younger folks just ask"What kind of car is that?"I have also replaced the Voltage regulator. It's an older restoration so it has a few minor issues that I'll go into.

Vehicle Condition

The windshield gasket is in great shape but it needs to be caulked from the inside on each end of the dash as it leaks a little when it rains or when I wash it.I have the caulk but haven't got around to do it.I'll let it go with the car also. The Rear Window gasket is supple but it also has a small leak at both bottom corners. The interior needs to be finished in the rear of the car.The door panels are a little dog-eared at the corners but not torn. The windlace needs to be replaced eventually.....however it is not critical....but only for appearances sake. The steering wheel has some surface cracks but is not broken...just age.Brand new floor mats throughout and again.......no Rust. The dash is in great shape all parts are there except for a heater knob. The heater does work well BTW.On the Body there is a small ding in the passenger side door. The shifter needs a stock knob on it.I have a wooden one for now. There is some surface rust in the rear floor of the car in the trunk area that is very minor and I have already treated it and was going to put some more floor matting over it to bring it to stock appearance. It's very minor and only a couple of spots......nothing major. That is all of the deficiencies that come to mind.
